After Chelsea and Mancity, Barcelona also join queue for Balotelli

Barcelona are the latest and only Spanish club to join the line for Italian Striker Mario Balotelli.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Blaugrana president Sandro Rosell has registered his interest in the 19-year-old with the player's agent Mino Raiola, who also embodies Zlatan Ibrahimovic's interests.

Barcelona announced that they had 50m to spend this summer. Barcelona has already signed highly rated Spanish striker David Villa. Now if they have to sell if they want to buy. Raiola and Rosell met during a general meeting to discuss about Ibrahimovic, who looks set to remain at the Nou Camp despite the ongoing speculation linking him away from the Nou Camp.

But with Rosell being a character who seldom lets an opportunity to talk football pass, took the chance to enquire Raiola about the situation revolving Balotelli.

He told Raiola: "He is a young talent suitable for Barcelona."

However, hijacking a move for the problematic yet talented youngster could be too late an attempt as talks between Inter and pack-leader Manchester City are at an advanced stage.

Outspoken Inter president Massimo Moratti has also confirmed on Friday that talks between both clubs are on-going.

The cash-rich Premier League club have just confirmed the signing of Aleksandar Kolarov from Lazio but are not expected to relinquish their pursuit of Balotelli.
