Portugal national Jose Mourinho resigns as a coach of Inter Milan after winning the Champions League with the Seria A club, and become the first manager to win the title for two different clubs.
The most important thing about Mourinho’s management is the understanding of the situation and his reaction according to it. We saw in champions league how he trained his squad and change the strategies according to the requirement of the situation in the crunch match against Spanish giants Barcelona and his former
club Chelsea.
Before Inter Milan he wins the grand Champions League title with FC Porto in 2003.During his football career he managed some very good clubs like Benfica, FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and now he has signed a four year deal with the Spanish club Real Madrid.
Real Madrid make huge spending during the last transfer window and grabbed some very good star players like Cristiana Ronaldo(Manchester United ), Kaka (AC Milan), Karim Benzima (Lyon), Arbeloa(LiverPool) , Xavi Alonso(Liverpool) but the former Madrid manager failed to impress the fans and the management at Real Madrid and they have spend yet another trophy less season.
After the Mourinho’s impressive season at Inter Milan, many clubs were reported to seek the services of Portuguese International but he chooses to go with Real Madrid and signed a four year deal with Spanish giants.
At Real Madrid Mourinho’s biggest threat would be FC Barcelona. Till now Mourinho has signed the German international Sami Khedira Stuttgart (€12m, Stuttgart), with a fee reported 14 million euro, Angel Di maria(€25m, Benfica), Miguel Palanca (loan return, CD Castellon), Pedro Leon (€10m, Getafe). Mourinho has also show a desire to sign another striker this season.
After signing with the Spanish club Mourinho tried to grab Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Ricardo Carvalho from his former club Chelsea FC. But the current Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelloti has made it clear that he would not entertain any offer for the above mention Chelsea players.
Now it will be interesting to see how Barcelona managed to react on Mourinho’s mind games …!
