Manchester United have completed the signing of goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard from Aalesunds.
Sir Alex Fergusan's no one choice Edwin van der sar is set to retire at the end of this season.
The 26-year-old has passed a medical test earlier this week in Manchester and signed a contract until 2014.
Manchester United has already sold Ben Foster to Birmingham city at the start of this season.
Lindegaard will start training with red's from now, but he will not be eligible to play until the January transfer window.
