Manchester City qualifies for Champions League football

Manchester City have finally qualified for the Champions league spot after some massive spending by their new owner Sheikh Mansoor, he invested more than 200m to qualify for Champions league.

Peter Crouch who was the Spurs hero last year did the same job today but for Manchester City. Peter Crouch send the James Milner cross into his own net and help the blues to move one step closer to the priceless glory.

Tottenham played really well and exposed the Manchester City defense on several occasions but they failed to score goal, the substitution of Adam Johnson was the turning point for Manchester City, the arrival of Pattick Viera allows Yaya Toure to go forward and he created all sorts of problems for Spurs and push them on the back foot. There were two good chances for City in the second half to extend the lead but both David Silva and Patrick Viera failed to score.

After a defeat from Bolton Wonderers last week, Arsenal hosted Premier league clash against Manchester United. Arsenal lost their captain Cesc Fabregas due to thigh injury.

Aaron Ramsey was included in Arsenal starting eleven in the absence of their captain Cesc Fabregas. Arsenal started the game well with theo Walcott pressing from the right and Jack Wilshere supported him from the midfield but they lost their highest goal scorer of the season in the 45th minute due to injury. Gael Clichy was also Phenomenal during the entire 90 minutes of the game and didnt allow Nani and Antonio Valencia to cross the ball from the wide areas.

Will Barcelona play Champions league final

In the first leg of Champions league semi final Barcelona took two goals lead over their arch rivals Real Madrid. From the start of the match Barcelona didn't play their natural game and adopted the defensive strategy. Both the Barcelona's full backs were hardly seen in the Real Madrid's half during the first 45 minutes.

During the second half Pepe was sent off for the tackle on Sergio Busquets, not only Pepe Madrid manager Jose Mourinho was also sent off from the technical area because of his protest and was forced to watch the rest of the match from the stands.

In a press conference after the match Jose Mourinho said "An image is worth more than 1000 words and there are so many images from that game that were shown all over the world, that I have nothing else to add". Real Madrid will be without Sergio Ramos, Pepe and their manager Jose Mourinho who is likely to face action from UEFA in the second leg. Where as Barcelona play-maker Andre Iniesta is likely to feature in the second leg who missed the first leg due to injury.

Pepe red card was the turning point of the match, it looks that ref was a bit harsh on Pepe. From the start of the match Real Madrid holds Barcelona players and won the mid filed battle till Pepe was on the field but after he was sent off, Lionel Messi was left unmarked and scored two most important goals of the season for Barcelona.

Barcelona has two goal lead on their arch rivals Real Madrid and it looks that the Real Madrid Champions league campaign is over. But you don't know what Jose has going in his mind its a Do or die time for Real Madrid they have already lost La Liga this season and the Champions league campaign is their only hope. Real Madrid has to score more than two goals during the second leg against Barcelona, it looks very very difficult for the Real Madrid to come back in the game but with Mourinho's mind games no can escape...!
