West Ham signs Robbie Keane

West Ham have confirmed the signing of Robbie Keane from Tottenham on loan until the end of season with a view to make £6 m permanent move for the next two and half years if they able to win relegation battle.

West Ham are currently in the bottom half of the table and are fighting to avoid relegation. It seems |Avram Grant have made a wrong selection because at now they do not need striker to boost the current squad. All the need is a good defender to partner Matthew Upson, West Ham already have some very good players up front including Carlton Cole, Piquionne, Victor Obinna.

From the start of the current campaign despite some extra ordinary performance of Robert Green West Ham have lacked the quality in the defense which has hurt them badly, Earlier this month West Ham made an attempt to replace Avram Grant with Martin O Neil

Chelsea chasing Torres, Liverpool are after Suarez

Transfer season Special:
Premier League giants Chelsea have confirmed their interest in Spanish striker Fernando Torres, after failing with an initial bid of  £35 m plus Daniel Sturridge Chelsea are now coming back with improved bid of  £42m plus Daniel Sturridge.

But the reports suggests that Liverpool want  £42m cash plus Chelsea's star front man Nicolas Anelka which would made the deal worth around  £50m. It looks like Liverpool are asking too much for the Spanish striker.

Currently Chelsea have Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Sturridge up front and if Chelsea agree to accept the terms of Liverpool it would be a good deal for both the clubs
