Fulham and Arsenal in search of goalkeeper


Fulham boss Mark Hughes is hoping to sign Shay Given from Manchester City on a season long loan as a replacement for Australian Mark Schwarzer.

Mark Schwarzer is being linked with a move away to Emirates, as Arsene Wenger is not satisfied with the inconsistent performance of Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski and looking for the replacement.

Having £ 2m bid rejected by Fulham, Arsenal have now launched improved £ 4m bid for the Australian stopper.

According to Latest reports Shay Given has decided to stay at City. Now if Hughes does loose battle to keep Schwarzer, he could turn his attention to Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici.
