Arsenal Champions league dream ends with a bang

Despite keeping the clean sheet and scoring 3 goals against the Italian giants Arsenal are out of Champions league leaving Chelsea only English club to represent Barclays Premier League in the Champions league.

It started of very well for Arsenal at Emirates they managed to score three in the first half with Rosicky, Koncielny and Van persie scoring for the gunners. But they were failed to score in the second half, Arsenal Captain missed a certain chance to score in the second half which cost them.

Arsenal looses 4-3 on agg and it ends their Champions league dream, The only English club left in the Champions league is Chelsea and they have a similar task to overcome in the second leg at Stanfordbridge, Nepoli are leading 3-1 on agg and now it would be interesting to see how Roberto De Matteo would help them to overcome the massive lead.

Arsenal was without Yossi Benyoun, Aron Ramsey, Jack wilshere and Abou Diaby all three of them missed the game. It’s now the seventh year for Arsenal without any trophy and their hero of the season Robin Van Persie has already put contract extension talks on hold until the summer now if again Arsenal don’t sign big names in the transfer window it would be very difficult for them to retain their star players
